Holiday Inn Resort Aruba

The Location

This is probably one of the first things on your mind once you decided to visit Aruba. Let us make it easy for you – most of the main hotels in Aruba are located on Palm Beach. And for good reason! The powdery soft white sand, the clear turquoise waters and mild surf make it the perfect location for your beach relax time. You also get multiple restaurants, shops and activities within a walking distance. So location-wise, the Holiday Inn Resort in Aruba is one of the best on the island.

 

Amenities

The resort has a large outdoor area with a few pools and jacuzzis so the space never felt crowded. It is family and kids-friendly. This is an all-inclusive resort, like many on the island, but there is an option to book regular accommodation as well. That sounds great in principle but if you are staying all-inclusive you still have to sign for everything at restaurants and cafes, which can be inconvenient. There are a few restaurant options including sea food and Italian, but our favorite restaurant was Sea Breeze.

The rooms are nothing fancy but clean and spacious and most offer a sea view.

The Beach

By far our favorite thing about the Holiday Inn Aruba was the beach. Palm beach is one of the most beautiful on the island and it’s just a few steps away from your room. We were amazed by the color of the water as well as how calm and inviting it was. The beach palapas are a nice touch and they are free to use, although you do have to reserve in advance.

Pelican Pier is just a few steps away from the hotel, right on the beach. Enjoy delicious food right on top of the blindingly blue water or stop by the reception to book a catamaran tour. You can also use Pelican’s non-motorized water sports equipment, which is free for Holiday Inn Resort’s guest. That includes kayaks, pedal boats, boards, etc.
